Slender Dildo, marketed by Sex Toys UK, is a Doc Johnson Platinum slimline silicone dildo that is promoted as appropriate for either vaginal or anal use. I wanted to test it primarily because I was curious about how Doc Johnson’s silicone would hold up for inspection because of its bad reputation for toy products. Look at that color as well!

The toy pack is a transparent blister pack with a purple insert. It’s fairly fundamental and not too tacky, though it’s probable to be unfit for storage as it’s a fairly bigger deal than it should be.

It has quite a lot of helpful data on the back of the toy, including material, shape, uses. It also offers a feeling of “life.” We’re going to cut the suspense, are we going to? It doesn’t.

My Slender is in a lovely mint green shade that looks really elegant and tempting. Seeing a dildo not in lilac, pink or black for once is awesome and lovely. It also comes elsewhere in a slightly violet aubergine color, but trust me, it’s better.

The Doc Johnson Slender is by no means a dildo for queens of size and not a big toy. It is approximately 6.75′′ long with an insertable 6′′ part. The shaft at its narrowest point below the head is just under an inch in diameter and tapers softly to about 1.1′′ where it meets the foundation. The bulbous head itself is larger, at its widest point, about 1.3′′ in diameter.

This makes it a excellent toy for those who prefer to vaginal or anal penetration to slimmer insertables or relatively newcomers. But I’d say it could likely do with being a little longer so there’s more to hold on to, at least, but also because it tends to create things harness-wise simpler. I personally also prefer longer toys.

The Slender is an exciting beast, material-wise. To the touch it’s very glossy and it feels rubbery, almost squeaky as you run your fingers along it. It’s extremely draggy, so even though it’s slim, you might want to use lube. Because I checked, it’s silicone. Because we’re talking about Doc Johnson here. With flying colors, it passed the flame test, so yay.

It also picks up shit, particularly hair, like a motherfucker. Seriously, simply sitting upright on a board waiting to be photographed, it got hairy. How?! While the silicone makes cleaning simple (and yadda yadda yadda and body-safe, you know the drill), keeping clean is basically impossible.

Definitely the Slender’s most noticeable element is that it is very flexible, and indeed floppy. You can not only bend it very readily in half, but you can even twist it on your own.

That means you can’t put pressure on your G-spot (or anywhere else) at all, so remain away if that’s your thing. It follows my vagina curves well, and thus brushes over my G-spot, which feels great, but for a true G-spot orgasm there is definitely not enough pressure or firmness.

In addition to being appropriate for vaginal use, the Doc Johnson Platinum Slender is also appropriate for anal play.

Now, I don’t use all that much of anal toys, but this is, aha, a slim toy, so for beginners it’s pretended to work well. I discovered the bulbous head mildly difficult to insert thanks to the good taper, but not as difficult as it could be. Probably I should point out that I am a super impatient masturbator, so the insertion should be simpler with a little better anal preparing. That said, maybe not too easy, because here the toy’s flexibility can hinder. You’ll probably have to guide the toy’s head in by just grabbing it and sorting it out first. The remainder is much easier once the head is in.

However, the Slender’s flexibility makes it much easier to take in terms of convenience. The head feels uncommon, but for me as an unpracticed anal user, the shaft is a big diameter. Plus, because it’s super secure with its very flared foundation. Did I anally appreciate it? I did. I believe I would probably prefer a toy with a bumpier shaft and a less bulgy head, but the shape is really good and the fabric is great for noobs with its flex. It definitely felt nice and better than I had anticipated.

As far as strap-on use is concerned, I couldn’t attempt it out on a live partner, but it has a much more robust foundation than the toy’s flexibility would suggest, which is always useful. It’s small, but maybe not long enough to meet everyone, particularly in some of the shallower positions of penetration. It handles in a harness much more beautifully than I would expect, too. That’s possibly because while the toy flexes incredibly easily under any pressure, it’s also very light, so by its own weight it won’t be pushed to the ground. What effectively finishes up being horizontal with the slight curve in its form.

CONCLUSION

I’m going to cut to chase. I would recommend the Doc Johnson Platinum The Slender Dildo for those who want to use it for anal, particularly for the anal players who are inexperienced. It’s small, comfortable, and not as difficult as it might seem to insert. It felt nice, moreover. I would be careful to recommend it for a strap-on: too brief and flexible, but beautiful and slim and well hanging. In recommending it for vaginal use, I would be even more uncertain. For girth or length fans, it won’t pass muster, it’s far too floppy to put any stress anywhere, but it makes me come and feel very good. However, it probably won’t do anything for your G-spot.

So, keep in mind your private preferences as you look back through my assessment and see if the Slender’s characteristics match what you’re looking for in a toy. It won’t fit everyone, but I believe it’s a fairly excellent little toy for those in its niche. It’s body-safe, true silicone and lovely colour, even though mine is constantly starting to look like Chewbacca. If the flexibility doesn’t matter, pick one today from Sex Toys UK! ♦
